MAHENDERGARH, 14.11.25-National Library Week, an annual event celebrated every November to promote the reading culture, has officially begun at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library, CUH. This year, a series of engaging competitions are being organized for the university students from November 14 to 19, 2025, to commemorate the occasion.
In his message, Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar emphasized the importance of libraries in fostering a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing, while encouraging students to actively participate in the various events.
A wide range of competitions, including a bookmark competition, debate, essay writing, and handwriting contests, have been planned throughout the week to engage students creatively and intellectually.
The festivities kicked off on the first day with poster-making and book cover design competitions. The winners of these contests were recognized in a prize distribution ceremony, where certificates and awards were presented by Prof. Mona Sharma, Dr. Vikash Siwach, and Dr. Dilip Kumar Patel. Approximately 70 students from various departments of the university participated in the opening day events.
