Chandigarh, 18 November: The NSS Units of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women organised an orientation session on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The session aimed to familiarise school students and educators with the key goals, structural reforms, and implementation strategies of NEP 2020, as adopted by Panjab University and its affiliated colleges.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of NSS Programme Officers, Coordinators, and students of Classes 11 and 12 from various schools across Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali. The resource persons provided detailed insights into the admission process, structure of UG/PG programmes, subject combinations, multidisciplinary options, and the revised examination and assessment patterns introduced under the new policy. The orientation proved to be an enlightening platform for addressing queries related to the restructured academic framework. It also strengthened awareness among school representatives, enabling them to guide their students more effectively through the transition to NEP-based higher education.Participants appreciated the college’s initiative in promoting a deeper understanding of the transformative vision of NEP 2020.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma commended the NSS Units and the participating schools for their active involvement and collaborative spirit.
