Chandigarh, 23.01.26- : Chandigarh Beopar Mandal (CBM) organized a grand function at Sector 17 Plaza to promote local businesses and Indian-made goods, urging citizens to take pledge to prioritize local shopkeepers and Indian products.
Sanjeev Chadha, President, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, appealed to people to shop from local markets and buy Indian goods. He encouraged citizens to bring their children to markets, where they can get competitive prices even better than online.
Charanjiv Singh, Chairman, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal and Member, National Traders Welfare Board of India, supported the campaign, aiming to promote Indian products. He highlighted the importance of touching and feeling fabrics, which is not possible online.
Diwakar Sahoonja, Vice Chairman and Official Spokesperson, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, stated that this campaign aims to make India the third-largest economy by encouraging people to buy Indian-made goods and visit local markets. This will also increase employment opportunities for youth.
Sat Pal Gupta, Chief Patron, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, expressed gratitude on the occasion. The Grain Market contingent headed by Mohit Sood, Vice President, CBM and President, Grain Market and Sunil Gupta, General Secretary, CBM participated in very large numbers, chanting "Swadeshi ko apnaenge, Bharat ko aage badhaenge" (We will adopt Swadeshi, we will take India forward). Traders from Sector 17 also participated in good strength.
Proceedings of function were conducted by Baljinder Gujral, Vice President and of the Walkothan march by Balwinder Singh and Naresh Mahajan, General Secretaries. The function culminated with signatures on a pledge board in Central Plaza, Sector 17, Chandigarh.
