MAHENDERGARH,28.01.26-Sumit Sahil Malhotra, a Ph.D. research scholar in the Department of Chemistry, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, received the Best Presentation Award at the international conference “New Frontiers in Transformative Approaches in Chemistry (NeF-TAC)”, held at the Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar, during January 20-21, 2026. He presented his work entitled “Role of Redox Shuttles for Photovoltaic Enhancement of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells using Computational Tools.

This achievement was appreciated by Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, who congratulated him for bringing laurel to CUH. He also expressed pride in the accomplishment, praising his hard work. Their achievement is a reflection of the vibrant research environment at the Central University of Haryana, which continues to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Chemical Sciences. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, and the Registrar, Prof. Suneel Kumar, also congratulated Sumit Sahil Malhotra on his achievement.

Sumit’s research focuses on enhancing the power conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells by exploring transition-metal-based redox shuttles in combination with organic dyes. He is carrying out his research under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Azaj Ansari, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry.
