MAHENDERGARH, 02.02.26-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahedergarh has achieved another significant milestone in the field of research and innovation with the grant of a patent to Dr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, and his research scholars Ms. Saloni Bansal and Ms. Kajal Singh.

On this occasion, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar, congratulated Dr. Amit Kumar and his scholars for this notable achievement. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar appreciated the dedicated efforts of the research team and motivated them to continue pursuing high-quality research and innovation in their respective fields, contributing to the university’s growing research ecosystem.

The patent, titled “Real-Time Digital Hospitality Display Device for Guest Welcome in Hotels”, focuses on the development of an advanced digital hospitality display system designed to enhance guest experience in hotels. The patented device is envisioned as a smart digital screen installed in hotel lobbies, near reception areas, or inside guest rooms to deliver dynamic and real-time content. The system enables personalized welcome messages for guests, real-time updates related to check-in and check-out information, details of hotel services and amenities such as spa, dining, and breakfast hours, wayfinding assistance, event schedules, local weather and news updates, promotional content, and interactive features such as touch-based navigation and digital concierge services. This innovative solution aims to modernize hotel operations, improve guest engagement, and support efficient communication between hotels and their guests through real-time, interactive digital displays.
