Fake Number Plate
A case FIR No. 29 u/s 341(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of SI Karam Chand. He reported that Anmol Singh S/o Malkit Singh R/o Gali No. 9, Ptaeki Nagar, Ward No. 20, Malout, Distt. Muktsar Sahib (PB) was found using a fake number plate (PB30 T 0715) on his motorcycle, whereas the original number was PB12 AH 8072, near Kaimbwala turn on 06-04-2026 at about 7:00 PM.
Two arrested under Arms Act
A case FIR No. 55 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Surinder, PP-24. He reported that Robin @ Bhura S/o Mahender Singh R/o H.No. 614, Sector-25, Chandigarh (age 25 years) and juvenile Samar @ Noni S/o Salinder R/o H.No. 829, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh (age 17½ years) were apprehended from jungle area, Dhanas Lake Road, Sector-25 on 10-04-2026 at about 9:15 PM, and one country-made pistol and a magazine with one live cartridge were recovered from their possession. Both were apprehended; further proceedings initiated.
A case FIR No. 49 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Keshav, Operation Cell, Sector-26. He reported that Aman @ Batak S/o Ram Karan R/o #242, Krishna Enclave, Jhampur, Distt. Mohali (PB) (age 28 years) was apprehended from Sector-39 C/D turn on 09-04-2026 at about 10:30 PM, and one desi katta and one live round were recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
Two arrested under NDPS
A case FIR No. 25 u/s 21, 22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of SI Kiranpal. He reported that Arjun R/o Sector-52, Kajheri, Chandigarh (age 18 years) was apprehended from near tubewell, jungle area, Sector-50 on 10-04-2026, and 6.56 grams of heroin/methaqualone mix was recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and is in police lock-up.
A case FIR No. 50 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of SI Ravinder Singh. He reported that Rahul R/o Small Flats, Maloya, Chandigarh (age 22 years) was apprehended from near dispensary, Sector-38 on 10-04-2026 at about 9:15 PM, and 10.40 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused is in police lock-up.
Theft
A case FIR No. 55 u/s 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of woman R/o EWS Dadu Majra, Chandigarh (age 28 years). She reported that an unknown person stole gold and silver jewellery and a wrist watch from her residence on 09-04-2026 at about 9:20 PM. During investigation, Rohit @ Coffee R/o DMC, Chandigarh was arrested and is in police lock-up.
