Chandigarh 7th May-An important meeting of the National Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Force (NHRACF), Chandigarh, was held today, 6th May 2026, at Hotel Park Inn, Sector 35, Chandigarh, under the presidentship of Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi. Dr. Biren Dave, National President of NHRACF, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with his wife, while Dr. Jitender Singh, an eminent international poet and author, attended as the Guest of Honour. On this occasion, Chairman Sh. Anil Vohra and President Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi honoured the Chief Guest with a bouquet, memento, and shawl.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Dr. Biren Dave, highly appreciated the dedicated efforts of the NHRACF team in promoting and safeguarding human rights. He assured the Chairman, President, and the entire Chandigarh unit of his full support in all future initiatives. He also congratulated the team for their commendable work on the “Beggar-Free Chandigarh Campaign,” stating that such initiatives not only uplift society but also inspire a sense of collective responsibility among citizens.
After the meeting, a delegation of NHRACF, led by Dr. Biren Dave, met Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, at Lok Bhawan. During the meeting, the delegation submitted a detailed written brief to the Hon’ble Administrator outlining the organization’s awareness initiatives. These included the distribution of nearly 30,000 pamphlets across various schools to sensitise parents through their children, along with campaigns at press chowks, traffic light points, and other key public locations. The initiative aimed to encourage citizens to adopt a “No Cash to Beggars” approach and support the vision of making the city beggar-free.
The Hon’ble Administrator, after reviewing the documents, appreciated the dedicated efforts and effective working style of the National Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Force, Chandigarh.
