One arrested under Excise Act
A Case FIR No. 92 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh against Sujal @ Sagar S/o Sh. Naib Singh R/o Village Fatehgarh Bet, District Ludhiana (PB), aged 23 years, who was arrested near Kali Bari Mandir on 06.06.2026 and recovered 54 boxes containing 648 bottles of illicit liquor (44 boxes of Royal General Premium Blended Whisky and 10 boxes of Rajdhani Whisky) from vehicle No. CH-01TB-9655. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
A Case FIR No. 75 u/s 305(A), 331(4), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anil Kumar S/o Dhyan Singh R/o Hotel Ground Plaza, Shivalik Vihar, Naya Gaon (PB) against unknown persons who allegedly stole 44 quarters of wine worth Rs. 1,33,600/-, one mobile phone, documents and cash amounting to Rs. 1,22,940/- from a wine shop situated at Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh on 06.06.2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A Case FIR No. 79 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rahul Kumar S/o Rakesh Kumar R/o #473 Goga, Ani Mohalla, Zira District Firozpur (PB) against Amarjeet Singh S/o Jasbir Singh R/o Upper Delha, District Una (HP), driver of CTU Bus No. CH-01TB-3721, who allegedly hit the complainant's motorcycle No. PB-47E-9295 near Satsang Bhawan, Maloya on 30.05.2026 at about 7:30 PM. The complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to GH-16 for treatment. The accused was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
