The Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the portrait of the late Vajpayee and remembered his unparalleled contribution to the nation.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Atal Ji’s unwavering commitment to the nation, steadfastness in his convictions, and devotion to democratic values made him a statesman who occupies a unique place in Indian politics. He said that his memory will always remain alive in the hearts of the people of the country.

Chandigarh, August 16-: In line with Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and the spirit of the National Education Policy-2020, Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini honoured the three best PM SHRI schools and three best Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools of the state during the Independence Day celebrations for their contribution towards promoting quality education in Haryana.
PM SHRI GSSS Gangwa, Hisar was awarded first position, PM SHRI GSSS Chakkarpur, Gurugram secured the second position, and PM SHRI GSSS Palhawas, Rewari received the award for the third-best PM SHRI school. Among the Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools, GMSSSS Shahzadpur, Ambala received the first prize, GMSSSS Babain, Kurukshetra secured the second position, and GMSSSS Hansi received the third prize for the best Model Sanskriti School. The District Education Officers and Block Education Officers of the respective districts were also honoured on the occasion.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the objective of the PM SHRI scheme is to strengthen existing government schools and develop them as exemplary schools, so that students can access quality education along with skills, creative thinking and better learning opportunities. He said that at present, 251 PM SHRI schools and 218 Senior Secondary Model Sanskriti Schools in Haryana are playing an important role in providing quality education to students and preparing them to meet the challenges of the future.
The Chief Minister said that the best schools were selected through a merit-based process based on prescribed parameters. The schools were evaluated on parameters including infrastructure, teaching methodology, learning outcomes, student performance, teacher capacity, co-curricular activities and school management. The final assessment was carried out using objective indicators prescribed for these parameters.
Congratulating the principals, teachers and students of the honoured schools, the Chief Minister said that the achievements of these schools would serve as an inspiration for other schools across the state. He said that the government’s objective is to ensure that every school in Haryana becomes better and every child gets the opportunity to progress according to their talent. He expressed confidence that PM SHRI and Model Sanskriti Schools would make a significant contribution towards realising the vision of ‘Viksit Haryana–Viksit Bharat’.

Chandigarh, August 16 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that after the BJP comes to power in Punjab, those involved in selling drugs will be driven out of the state, while major steps will also be taken to help young people caught in the grip of drugs overcome addiction. He further said that hooliganism prevalent in Punjab would be eliminated and a clean and transparent administration would be provided. Sh. Saini was responding to questions from the media in Rampura, Amritsar, Punjab, today.
He accused the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab of failing to fulfil its election promises and said that Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal had promised honest governance in the state during the previous Assembly elections. However, he said, this government has turned out to be even more corrupt than the previous Congress government. Referring to the recent incident in which currency notes were seen flying from a tower, he said, “Everyone knows about it; where did these notes come from?”
He said that the AAP had promised to provide employment to the youth, but today, only relatives of AAP MLAs and ministers and those close to them are getting jobs, while the hardworking youth of the state feel cheated.
Referring to the recruitment list for posts in the Health Department issued recently, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Punjab Government itself has admitted before the court that a mistake had been made. He said that not only the youth, but women and employees are also troubled by the state government. Despite court orders, employees are not being given their due Dearness Allowance (DA). Moreover, they are also receiving their salaries late.
He said that while a medical college is being opened in every district of Haryana, the Chief Minister of Punjab should answer how many medical colleges have been opened in Punjab. He said that if the people of Punjab, in the forthcoming Assembly elections, place their faith in the policies of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and bring the BJP to power in Punjab, all the welfare policies of Haryana will also be implemented in Punjab.

Chandigarh, August 16 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the remembrance of ‘Ram Naam’ awakens the mind and gives a person the strength to choose the right path even in difficult circumstances.
Sh. Saini was addressing the Sadh Sangat during a Satsang organised at Sulahkul Temple in Rampura, Amritsar, Punjab, today. On the occasion, the Chief Minister sought the blessings of Baba Avtar Singh Maharaj. On behalf of the temple management, Baba Avtar Singh Maharaj honoured Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini by presenting him with a shawl and a memento.
The Haryana Chief Minister urged the youth of Punjab not to surrender their lives to drugs. He called upon them to make their parents’ dreams their own resolve. He said that they should play sports, study, learn skills, work hard and take out some time every day for remembrance of God.
Describing the land of the holy city of Amritsar as a land of sacrifice, penance, devotion, valour and service to humanity, he said that India has been illuminating the entire world with its spiritual light for centuries. India is the voice of humanity that has been telling the world for centuries to live with love, move forward together and see the Divine in every living being. The Sulahkul Mission has been carrying forward this great Indian tradition for nearly 200 years.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini appreciated the continuous work being undertaken for humanity by this spiritual mission, which was started by the revered Sant Sri Sahib Dayal Ji, and said that the distinctive quality of our saints is that they set examples through their own lives. The life of Sant Sri Avtar Singh Ji Maharaj is also a testimony to this truth. He said that even during the difficult period of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mission provided assistance to needy families. All these efforts demonstrate that true service can never remain disconnected from the needs of society.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over the growing menace of drug abuse and said that addiction is a serious challenge facing society today. Drugs do not merely destroy the health of a young person; they also shatter the dreams of the entire family. He said that he was pleased that Maharaj Ji is supporting health clubs in 40 villages in organising Kabaddi and Volleyball competitions to keep the youth away from drugs.
He further said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the country is moving forward with the resolve to build a Viksit Bharat. The dream of a Viksit Bharat will be realised when development is accompanied by values, prosperity by compassion, strength by restraint, and progress by reverence for nature and remembrance of the Divine. He appealed to the people to support Prime Minister Modi in the development of the country.
