Chandigarh 30th September -Members of the National Human Rights & Anti-Corruption Force (NHRACF), Chandigarh, led by its President, Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, along with Sh. Anil Vohra, Chairman, and other members, visited Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46-B, Chandigarh, to create awareness among students as part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Yuva – Viksit Bharat Abhiyan.”Addressing the students, Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi highlighted the serious social, physical and personal consequences of substance abuse. He sensitised the students about the harmful effects of drugs and appealed to them to stay away from substance abuse. He further encouraged the students to spread awareness among their peers and actively promote the message of “Say No to Drugs.”
The NHRACF team presented a drug-awareness poster to Prof. Nisha Aggarwal, Principal of the College, which was released by Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh. The team also distributed drug-awareness pamphlets among the students and administered a pledge encouraging them to contribute towards building a Drug-Free Chandigarh and a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi emphasised that the fight against substance abuse is a collective responsibility of society and requires the active participation of students, educational institutions, parents and the community.
