Chandigarh, July 10 – Haryana Government has invited applications for Post Matric Merit Scholarship from eligible candidates of Haryana who passed matric examination in March, 2018, latest by September 30, 2018.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Secondary Education Department said that any candidate from Haryana who have passed matric examination held in March 2018 from any government, government aided or private schools would be eligible for this scholarship. Under this scheme, scholarship will be given only to those students who have taken admission in class ten plus one in schools of Haryana only.
He said that after examining all application forms of candidates, belonging to rural or urban areas who have passed matric with minimum 95 per cent marks, would be selected for scholarship of merit basis. He said that benefit of renewal of scholarship in class ten plus two will be given to only those students who would pass class ten plus one examination. Students who would leave schools after class ten plus one would not be given benefit of renewal of scholarship, he added.
The spokesman said that for this scholarship, no annual income limit of parents has been prescribed. The scholarship would be given for entire academic session, he added.
He said that the students who are studying in classes ten plus one and ten plus two, their schools concerned would send their scholarship claims, forms along with merit after inspection to the District Education Officer (DEO) who would further consolidate and send them by hand to Directorate through special messenger.
Under the scheme, the renewal of scholarship would be mandatory after class ten plus one. For this, the Principal of school would duly inspect the application forms and send them to the DEO. Application forms for fresh application would be made available free of cost to students who have passed matric at their respective schools by the Board of School Education, Bhiwani. In case of late result declared or late admissions, the last date of form would be valid for next 15 days than the prescribed date.
Incomplete and late received forms could be cancelled for which the Principal of the school concerned would be responsible, he added.

Mr. Vij, who was interacting with media persons here today, said that Mr. Dushyant Chautala is a confused person who doesn’t know what he is saying and what he wants to say. He said that Mr. Dushyant is giving new statement every time. Sometimes he talk about scam worth Rs 100 crore in local purchase and sometime about scam of Rs 300 crore in National Health Mission, and sometimes he suspects a big scam in some other scheme which is why no one can believe him. Despite this, if he provides documents to the state government, full investigation would be carried out, he added.
Describing the statement made by Congress Leader Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala as humorous, the Health Minister said that there should be a level for debate with the Prime Minister, but Mr. Surjewala has no intellectual and political level. He said that the Congress has, during its about 60 year’s tenure, not only wasted farming, but also forced farmers to commit suicide. When our government has increased the Minimum Support Price of crops by 1.5 times, the Congress is unable to digest it, he added.

While giving information about Re-engagement Policy, a spokesman of Secondary Education Department said that the post of PGT Physical Education had been included under Re-engagement policy. The retirees from other State’s Education Department, who are proficient in Hindi and are bonafide residents of Haryana, would be re-engaged on the basis of qualification and experience under the policy.
Five per cent extra weightage would be given to retirees of the Department of Education, he added.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the University said that the maximum temperature is likely to be between 35 and 38 degree Celsius and minimum between 24 and 28 degree Celsius. The average wind speed would range from eight to 12 kilometer per hour.
Due to possibility of light to moderate rain, farmers are advised to continue transplanting of rice and apply 1g Carbendazim per square meter mix with the sand and apply in nursery before seven days of transplanting in the field for protection of Bakanae disease. Avoid the deep planting of seedlings.
Farmers are advised to drain out the excess rain water in the cotton crop and withhold the sowing of Bajra and Gvar.
As the prevailing high humidity in the environment or atmosphere may increase the infestation of sucking insect-pest, farmers are advised to regularly monitor and spray as per university recommendation when sky remains clear and withhold or avoid the irrigation in existing vegetable crops and fruits plants for next three days.
Farmers are advised to keep the animals under well ventilated place and provide clear drinking water and green forage as per requirement, due to humid weather conditions. For livestock management, the farmers have been advised to provide them 50 grams of Iodized salt and 50 to 100 grams mineral mixture daily with animal feed and fodder to keep them healthy, he added.

Haryana Police has arrested four drug peddlers after it seized one kilogram 63 gram heroin valued around Rs one crore from Sirsa district.

Chandigarh, July 10 – Haryana Police has arrested four drug peddlers after it seized one kilogram 63 gram heroin valued around Rs one crore from Sirsa district.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that one kg heroin was seized from Parveen Kumar, a native of new housing board colony, Sirsa, whereas 63 gram heroin was recovered from three persons namely Rajinder Kumar, Sandeep Kumar and Satish Kumar, all from Mandi Dabwali.
He said that Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu appreciated the efforts made by Sirsa Police against the narcotics and drugs through ‘prabal prahar’ campaign.
In the first case, crime investigation agency of Dabwali has stopped a car during patrolling at a bridge on Hisar road. During checking, police team recovered one kg heroin from the accused Parveen Kumar. Police team has also enquired about the name of supplier. Based on this, a case under NDPS Act has been registered against two persons at City Police Station, Sirsa.
In another case, CIA Dabwali has arrested three persons from a car in Panniwala bus stand areas and recovered 63 gram heroin from their possession.
All the accused would be taken on remand by producing them in the court. Stern action would be taken after identifying the other persons involved in this racket of heroin smuggling, he added.

While giving this information today, a spokesman of the Nigam said that the CGRF would take all grievances or complaints of consumers like billing problem, voltage complaints, problems in metering, disconnection and reconnection of power supply, interruptions, failure of power supply, efficiency, safety, reliability, non compliance of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission orders etc. However, the cases of theft and unauthorized use of electricity, offences and penalties as specified under section 126 and section 135 to 139 of Electricity Act, accidents and inquiries as under section 161 of the Act would not be considered by the Forum.

Chandigarh, July 10- Haryana Government has initiated a general recruitment drive in respect of Group D posts and has directed all the departments to issue a fresh requisition of all Group D posts directly to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission in accordance with provisions of Haryana Group D Employees (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Act 2018.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the general recruitment drive would be for all Group D posts except for the posts of Sweeper, Chowkidar and Sweeper-cum-Chowkidar. The departments have been directed that requisition should also be in accordance with the reservation policy or criteria fixed for Group D posts on the basis of instructions and guidelines issued from time to time.
He said that all the departments, Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Boards were advised for sending fresh requisition for the general recruitment drive in respect of Group D posts.

Chandigarh, July 10: YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad will draft its action plan for the ten years under Vision-2030. It will include expansion of the University, introduction of New Courses, Development of New Research Facilities and improve the quality of existing Academic and Research Facilities.
The decision to this effect was taken in the first meeting of University Planning Board held under the Chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar. Vice Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University Prof. K.C. Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh Technical University Prof. S.P. Bansal, Vice Chancellor of Haryana Vishvakarma Skill University Mr. Raj Nehru, former Vice Chancellor of I.P. University Prof. K.K. Aggarwal and President of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions Dr. Prashant Bhalla were also present as member of the Board. The members appreciated the initiatives taken and accomplished by Prof. Dinesh Kumar in the past three year and gave suggestions for the future plans of the University.
The members laid emphasis on planning of new developmental works keeping in view of existing and new courses. Also, the members gave suggestions regarding development of new facilities like innovative labs and incubation centre, development of research facilities and improving upon quality of education being provided by the affiliated colleges.
While briefing about academic and infrastructural developmental activities being carried out in the University, the Vice Chancellor said that the total intake of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses were 714 in the year 2015 which has now been doubled in the year 2018. Similarly, the strength of the students has been increased from 2500 to 3500 and it is expected to increase upto 5000 in the next three years. He apprised that as many as 11 new courses in Science, Management, Computers and Arts were introduced and seats of other existing courses have also been increased. The University has a plan to introduce the M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Micro-Biology from the next academic session. The University has also taken initiative to implement AICTE Model Curriculum, he added.
The Vice Chancellor said that the University has constituted Research Promotion Board to promote research activities. Research projects amounting to about Rs. 90 lakh are already being carried out in the University. New research equipments have been purchased and concerted measures are being taken to set up Centralised Research Facility. Also, the University has set up two Centres of Excellence in collaboration with Danfoss and Daikin and has a plan to set up a new Centre of Excellence in collaboration with Ador Company.
Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that the University and its courses have been accredited by NAAC and NBA and has also marked its presence in the NIRF which reflects the quality of education being imparted by the University. The University has received grants amount to Rs. seven crore and 20 crore under TEQIP-3 and RUSA respectively.
Briefing about the Infrastructural Developmental works, Vice Chancellor said that construction of Auditorium, Smart Classrooms, New Laboratories and renovation of existing facilities etc. amounting Rs. 10 crore have been initiated in the University. Similarly, new projects costing over Rs. 70 crore including new academics block, residential block, hostel, new offices and main gate are under progress

Haryana Government has enhanced the special ex-gratia grant being admissible to their widow and dependents from Rs 10 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh

Chandigarh, July 10 – In a major decision for the dependents of policemen who die in the line of duty, Haryana Government has enhanced the special ex-gratia grant being admissible to their widow and dependents from Rs 10 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh.
While stating this here today, Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu said that now Rs 20 lakh would be given to the widow or dependent and Rs five lakh each to the mother and father of the deceased police employee who die while fighting with anti-social elements or saving the public life and property during natural calamities. In case both father and mother not alive, then the share of parents would be given to the widow or dependents of the deceased.
Mr Sandhu said that similarly, financial assistance of Rs15 lakh would be paid to terminally injured police personnel, Rs 10 lakh in case of major injury and Rs five lakh would be given for minor injuries during line of duty.
He also thanked the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal for implementing a number of welfare decisions including increasing the ex-gratia amount to those who die or are seriously injured in the line of duty.
The DGP said that in addition, Rs two lakh is being given to cops on natural death and Rs 30 lakh in case of an accidental death as per agreement of Haryana Police inked with HDFC bank Limited.
