Chandigarh,11-12-2019-To publicize the newly launched Emergency Number-112 for Police, Medical and Fire Services and to aware the students about the frequently use the same whenever they require Police, Fire and Ambulance Service. Today Sh. Roshan Lal, Superintendent of Police, Communication along with Sh.Kuldip Singh, System Supervisor, ERSS Project Chandigarh visited at St. Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Sector-44-C, Chandigarh and addressed about 1700 students of 3rd to 10+2 standard in morning Assembly. Mr. I.William Chairman, Dr. Ivorine Castellas Principal, Mr. Naresh Handa Assistant Director, Mrs. N.Gandhi Asstt. Director, Mr. Chandan S Patwal, Additional Principal, Mr. Gavin Bond Additional Principal and Mr. Dharmender Pant Sr.Vice Principal were also present in the assembly during the awareness campaign. The emergency number-112 is regularly publicize through advertisement in leading News Papers. They were informed that while Dialing-112 number, they have to press IVR key-1 to mature 112 call. It was also informed that traditional helpline numbers of Police-100, Ambulance-108 and Fire-101 still working but popularize the Emergency Number-112 to their friends and family members, which is a common emergency number for all the States/UTs recently launched by MHA, GOI. Students were also advised to follow the traffic rules for their safety. Mr. William.
