CHANDIGARH, 16.07.24-Chandigarh police has achieved a major success by arresting the accused Sanjay s/o Amrish singh r/o # 1388 B EWS colony Dhanas in theft case within 12 hours and are covered the stolen articles in case FIR No. 87 dated 13.07.2024 U/S 303(2)BNS PS. 11 Chd.

The said case registered on the complaint no ICMS/2024/019796 dated 13.07.2024 made by Umesh Kumar S/o Jamna Parsad R/o # 1421 B, EWS Colony Dhanas UT Chandigarh has been received through ICMS portal regarding theft of gas Cylinder, in which complainant reported that he is working at Super Gas (India) Sec-25 since 12 years. On dated 08.07.2024 he was delivering the gas cylinder in the sector 24 area when he delivered gas cylinder at house No.3115 Sector 24,after delivering the cylinder when he returned at his auto, he found that one gas cylinder has been stolen by unknown.

During the course of investigation of above said case a team led by SHO PS-11, Chandigarh and I/C PP-24 under the guidance of senior officers UT, Chandigarh. The said accused has been arrested with the help of CCTV camera and stolen gas cylinder has been recovered along with stolen Motor Cycle No. PB 70T 707 & Six more Gas cylinder which has been taken in police possession U/S 106 BNS and 317(2)BNS added accordingly. The said accused has been produced before the Hon’ble court of Illaqua Magistrate and sent to judicial custody. Further, it has been comes to notice that the above said accused is drug/alcohol addict and committing theft to complete intoxication.
