One person arrested in Arms Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Abhisek @ Abhi R/o # 2666, Sec-25 Chd. Age-25 yrs from Khuda Lahora Bridge, Chandigarh and recovered Kamanidar knife from his possession on 27.02.2025. A case FIR No 29 U/S 25-54-59 ARMS Act has been registered in Police Station-11 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police apprehended Manpreet Singh and Jitender Singh both R/o Sirsa, HR while they were consuming liquor and creating nuisance at public place near Night Food Street, Sector-14, Chandigarh on 20.07.2024. In this regard, a case FIR No. 91, U/S 68-1(B) PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later, they were released on bail.

Disobedience to orders issued by public servants

Chandigarh Police arrested Varinder Singh Bisht R/o #2249, Sec-20C, Chandigarh age-59 yrs., Kishori Lal R/o #461, Gali No.-5 Krishna Enclave Mohali, Jhampur, age-62 yrs., Surinder Kumar R/o #78, Vill- Sarangpur, Chandigarh, age 68 yrs, Sukhwinder Singh R/o #107 Majra, Hoshiyarpur Taqipur SAS Nagar Mohali Pb age-38 yrs and others in case FIR No. 18 u/s 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station, Sector-03, Chandigarh. All gathered at old UT Secretariat, Sec-9 Chandigarh on 27-02-2025 protesting there and raising slogans against UT Administration. All Later on, accused bailout. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Theft

A case FIR No. 28, U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Paramdeep Saklania R/o VPO. Sari Dharampur, Distt. Mandi (HP) against unknown person who stole away battery of complainant’s Alto car no. HP-86-1404 while parked in PGI parking on 19-02-2025. Investigation of this case is in progress.
