Chandigarh,23.08.18-The 2nd CGC Junior Golf Championship was conducted at the Chandigarh Golf Club on 23rd August, Thursday. This is part of the Chandigarh Golf Club Junior Training Programme (competition division) started by President of the Club Birinder Singh Gill. The main objective is to promote golf and give juniors an opportunity to compete and gain exposure to play even larger tournaments in the future.

In category F girls Ojaswini Saraswat (48) was the winner and Rabhiya Handa (68) the runners-up.

In category F boys Aryan Partap Singh (35) was the winner, Danish Verma (36) runners-up and Rehan Chauhan (38) the second runners-up.

In category E girls Samriddh Chand Thankur (47) was the winner, Liliana (49) runners-up and Samaya Khunger and Adwita (50) Tied the second runners-up position.

In category E boys Deeyon Pao (37) was the winner, Rann Vijay Gill (38) runners-up and Onkar Singh (43) the second runners-up.

In category D girls Anaya Pahwa (83) took pole position leaving Anaya Saini (83) at the runners-up position and Yogyata Modi (91) at the second runners-up position.

In category D boys Samar Partap Sandhu (78) took first place while Jai Gupta (79) occupied the second spot whereas Krish Chawla (79) finished second runners-up.

In category C girls Jia Kataria (78) won the category leaving Manya Saini (82) and Diya Brar (90) at the runners-up and second runners-up position respectively.

In category C boys Vasu Sehgal (74) was the champion while Jujhar Singh (80) was the runners-up and Samarveer Singh (81) the second runners-up.

In category B girls Hazel Chauhan (82) Triumphed and Kayra (83) finished runners-up and Puneet Bajwa (84) ended at the second runners-up position.

In category B boys Tushar Pannu (72) was the winner, Aditya Sood (75) runners-up and Arjun Singh Bhatia, Manjot, Fatehbir Kahlon all tied second runners up (80)

In category A girls Komalpreet kaur (88) was the winner.

In category A boys Bismadpal Singh, Sanju and Harmanbir Bajwa all had scores of 75 and in a play off Bismadpal Singh was declared the winner, Sanju the runners-up and Harmanbir Bajwa the second runners-up.

In the putting competition Girls category Mrigyanka was the winner (8), Avika runners-up (9) and Shamreen second runners-up (10).

In the putting competition Boys category Akshdeep won (10) leaving Rishaan at the runner-up position (14) and Ojasv at the second runners-up position (15)
