SOLAN,08.07.19-A passionate Indian classical dancer Shruti Gupta has danced her way to glory creating records by her kathak performances in very high mountains where even breathing is difficult. Himachal Pradesh born Shruti has set two times world record by performing Indian classical dance kathak at the highest altitude in Trans Himalaya where temperature hovers in minus and also breathing is a great problem.

First time she set a world record by performing kathak Dance at Baralacha Pass in Zanskar range at an altitude of 17,198 feet in minus four degree centigrade on 18th October, 2015.

Second time on 27th October , 2016 she set a world record for the second time by performing kathak dance for 20 minutes in minus twenty four degree centigrade temperature on ‘Vande Mataram’ and song of ‘The Nature’ at Khardungla Pass in Ladakh range at an altitude of 18,380 feet. She gave both two performances in Trans Himalaya barefoot and without wearing any warm clothes.

Third time also She danced her way to glory in mid-June (On 15 & 16 June, 2018) at the five Himalayan passes between Manali & Leh, creating third world record. These passes are Rohtang La, Baralacha La, Nakee La, Lachulung La&Tanglang La. At Tanglang La, She gave tribute to Indian Armed Forces by doing kathak recital on Vande Mataram on the music of Grammy Award winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.

Born on the Independence Day of India (August 15, 1987) she has been passionate about music and dance ever since she was a child. A postgraduate in Indian instrumental music from Himachal Pradesh University and holding another postgraduate degree in Indian classical dance from Punjabi University, Shruti has been following the passion so close to her heart. The art is the best way to bring change in society. A strong votary of peace and harmony, Indian classical dancer Shruti Gupta has found a unique way to raise her voice against terrorism and promoting harmony and peace.

She performed on ‘Vande Mataram’ for the personnel of the Indo Tibetan Boarder Police (ITBP) and Indian Army personnel to lift their spirits.

She has been promoting ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’, ‘Save Mother Nature’, ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’and other programs by her performances.

“Very renowned and talented artist Shruti Gupta has raised her voice against terrorism and also raised the spirit of Indian Armed Forces by doing this deed at such a challenging height and temperature without thinking about the risk of her life.

The daughters of our nation are very courageous who are always ready to sacrifice their lives for their nation. She has set a new precedent of courage by doing this.
