Chandigarh,01.12.12:Celebrations of the 25th Annual Day-cum-Founder’s Day of Mount Carmel School, Sector 47-B, Chandigarh, began today the 1st December 2012 in the School premises. Around 400 students of classes Pre-Nursery to I-B, presented an entertaining cultural programme on this occasion. The programme began with “Count Your Many Blessings”, a prayer dance. Kinjal Chandel of class III-B of the School then extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, the parents and other guests. After this the School Choir presented a song ‘Count On Me…..’. Then began the mind boggling colourful programme comprising of It’s Christmas Time, A Song- Papa Loves Mama, Balle Balle – A Scintillating Bhangra Performance, Coco Jumbo, Yoodle Odle O! O! O!, etc. Every item was highly appreciated with loud applause by the receptive audience. After this the Annual Report of the Pre-Primary classes was read out by Rashi of class VI of the School. Mrs. Dona Suri, Editor – at – Large, Day & Night News, Chandigarh, was the Chief Guest of this function. 6 students were awarded the Best All-round Students’ trophies for the session 2011-2012. Rolling Trophies for the Most Disciplined Class, The Best Dressed Class & the Best Kept Class of the Pre-Primary Section for the session 2012 – 13 were bagged by Classes K.G-A, K.G-C & K.G-B , respectively. Rolling Trophy for the Most Disciplined Class of the Primary Section was bagged by Class I-B. The Shining Star trophy for outstanding performances in Fine Arts was awarded to Usha Kiran of Class I-A. As Finale to the programme, the students presented an item, ‘The Fruit of the Spirit’ with the message that: We need to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit i.e. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control, in our lives. Then this world can become a better place to live in.

The programme was ably conducted and compered by the students of the School. A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Jonathan, a student of class I-B of the School and the Programme ended with the National Anthem.
