Chandigarh October 28, 2024-The University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development, Panjab University (PU) celebrated Diwali's grandeur and joy with Utsav-e-Riwaaz 2024 at PU Campus today.

The event brought together students from all batches to honor the festival of lights with enthusiasm, creativity, and a vibrant display of traditional Indian culture. The campus was alive with the festive spirit, as each student donned ethnic attire, filling the venue with color and elegance. The competitions were intense, with exceptional talent showcased in Rangoli Making, Mehndi Application, Reel Making, and the eagerly anticipated Best-Dressed category.

The competition was fierce, as students brought their best, making it a challenging task for the judges to select winners from such a talented pool. Adding a unique twist to the event, the celebration concluded with an exhilarating ramp walk, where students proudly displayed their style, confidence, and individuality. The ramp walk was filled with love, laughter, and admiration, perfectly capturing the joyous spirit of Diwali.

Diwali, known as the festival of lights, was indeed celebrated with a fire in each student a shared spark that united the department in celebration. Thanks to the guidance of Dr. Prabhdip Brar, Chairperson of the department, and the invaluable mentorship of Ms. Kirti, guest faculty member, Utsav-e-Riwaaz 2024 was a glowing success, leaving lasting memories for everyone involved.

In Rangoli Making competition, Neha, Kashish and Preetinder remained first, second and third. In Mehndi Application, first position went to Mandeep, Varsha and Parneet were second and third. In Reel making, first, second and third position went to Pratigya, Kashish and Mariya. Ishwarpreet, Myra and Isha were first, second and third in Best-Dressed competition.
