Chandigarh, January 9: Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij once again targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), stating that "AAP can do anything. Is there a hidden agenda of their government behind the farmers' protests and hunger strikes in Punjab, or are they waiting for something unfortunate to happen, as farmers are sitting on Punjab's soil?"
Sh. Vij made this statement in response to questions about the deteriorating health of farmer leader Dallewal at the Khanauri border and the suicide of a farmer by poisoning at the Shambhu border.
*"Why is AAP's Punjab government letting the situation worsen?" - Vij*
Sh. Vij questioned, "Farmers are sitting on Punjab's soil, and Mr. Arvind Kejriwal's party is in power there, with their Chief Minister heading the government. Why are they not stepping in, why are they defying the orders of the Honorable Supreme Court, and why are they letting the situation worsen?"
*"Even the INDIA alliance has gaps in its name like i.n.d.i.a" - Vij*
When asked about the disunity among parties of the INDI alliance ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, with the TMC and SP supporting AAP while Congress finds itself isolated, Vij remarked, "Even the spelling of the INDIA alliance has gaps like i.n.d.i.a. This reflects the lack of understanding and coordination among these parties from day one. Each party is pursuing its own interests wherever they see political gain."
*"Congress knows our government will not come to power" - Vij*
When asked about Congress’s promise to provide free treatment up to ₹25 lakh if they form a government in Delhi, Vij dismissed it, saying that "na nau man tel hoga aur na hee raadha naachegee." He added that "Congress knows very well that their government will not come to power, regardless of the promises they make."
