Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Arvind R/o # 574A, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh while he was playing satta at Togan Road near Sahani Washing Centre, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 23.04.2024. Total cash Rs. 3950/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 32, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Three arrested for committing robbery

A case FIR No. 53, U/S 392, 34 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Govind Singh R/o # 1793, Sahi Niwas P.G, Burail, Sec-45, Chandigarh who reported that three unknown persons robbed away mobile phone on knife point and pistol type weapon near # 1861, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 23-04-2023. Later, person namely Suraj @ Mota R/o # 273, Old Air Port Road, Behlana, Chandigarh, Age 20 Years, Sameer R/o # 2000/1, E.W.S Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh Age 19 Years and Birbal @ Putla @ Khhujli R/o # 3233, Aero City, Mohali, PB Age 19 Years have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 42, U/S 324 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on complaint of Sachin R/o # 1038, Deep Complex, Hallomajra, Chandigarh who alleged that Nitish Kumar @ Gappa stabbed complainant with sharp edge weapon near Public Toilet, Sanjay Colony, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 23.04.2024. Complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Saurabh Shakya, Dy. Controller Explosive, Petroleum Explosive Safety Org., SCO No. 802, 2^nd floor, NAC, Manimajra Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away compressor of AC from office of Petroleum Explosive Safety Org., SCO No. 802, 2^nd floor, NAC, Manimajra Chandigarh on the night intervening 18/19-02-2024. A case FIR No. 49, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Murder

A case FIR No. 42, U/S 302, 397 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh against unknown person who murdered a person namely Ajeet Singh, Age 42 years whose dead body was found lying near Ram Mandir, Village Maloya on 23.04.2024. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 43, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint Ashutosh Bharti R/o # 315, Gali No. 5, Gobind Nagar Jhampur, PB, Age 26 years against unknown driver of E-rickshaw No. CH01TE7946 which sped away after hitting to complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH-01CG-7367 near Ziri Mandi turn, Maloya, Chandigarh on 15-04-2024. Complainant sustained injuries and admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
