One arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Chandigarh Police arrested Nushad Hassan R/o # 6503, Housing Board Flats, Sec.56 Chandigarh, (age-29 yrs), while he was consuming liquor and created nuisance from Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 30-04-2024,. A case FIR No. 44, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 85 U/S 283, 279, 337, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Sector-40C, Chandigarh against Parveen R/O Vill. Badkhalsa, Distt. Sonipat (Hry), age-45 years’ driver of Honda City car No. DL-3CK-3457 who stopped the car on main road in front of entry gate, ISBT-43 on 30-04-2024 and suddenly opened the driver side door due to which complainant’s husband rider of Activa no. CH-01CB-2326 struck with the window and fell down on road. Victim got injured and admitted in GMCH-32 where he has been expired. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 43 U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Haneef R/o # 529, Phase-1, BDC, Sec. 26, Chandigarh against Rajesh Kumar R/o Vill. Sayokei, Distt. Hamirpur (HP) Driver of truck No. HR-68B-5780 who hit to complainant (pedestrian) at Transport Turn, Sec.26, Chandigarh on 27-04-2024. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
Chaman Lal Agarwal R/o # 2246, Sec. 44-C Chandigarh reported that unknown person who stolen away jewellery from his house in between 25-04-2024 and 27-04-2024. A case FIR No. 61 U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating/criminal breach of trust
A case FIR No. 79 U/s 406, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Chetanaya Kumar Verma R/o SCO. No. 35, 2nd Floor, Sec. 23 Chandigarh (running jewellary shop) against Anuj and Guman both R/o New Brahmi Jewellers Shop, near Rodrary chowk, Una (HP) they had purchased the gold jewellary from the complainant, but they did not return his money. Thus the alleged persons cheated, criminal breach of trust and causing wrongful loss with complainant of Rs.65,31,502/-. Investigation of the case is in progress.
