Sirsa/Chandigarh/New Delhi, November 29 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labor Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that, "To provide better transport facilities to the people, all old buses will be replaced because we are committed to providing top-notch transport services to the people." Additionally, he mentioned that "I have directed all general managers to personally inspect their bus stands two to three times in a day. If any common person raises a cleanliness-related complaint, I will address it."

Sh. Vij made this statement while responding to questions about bus stand cleanliness after attending a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Sirsa.

All Haryana bus stands have been cleaned and are now tidy – Vij

When asked about the lack of AC buses and the a Haryana Roadways general manager in Sirsa, Vij said that "I have recently reviewed the department and gathered information. All issues will be resolved. All bus stands in Haryana have been cleaned, and encroachments at bus depots have been removed."

Under the Surya Ghar Scheme, over 1 lakh connections have been provided, with more to be given on demand – Vij

Addressing a question about electricity connection delays, Vij said that "No such application has been received so far. If any application is received, we will act on it." He further explained that connections up to 10 kilowatts are being provided under the Surya Home Scheme. So far, 1 lakh connections have been issued, and additional connections will be given based on public demand. Connections over 10 kilowatts will be provided under the regular electricity scheme.

Modern tools to repair live electric wires will be procured – Vij

On dangling electricity wires in cities, Vij said that "I have instructed that such dangling wires be removed, and work is ongoing throughout Haryana. This is a technical task that will take some time." He added that "We are also procuring tools that will allow us to repair live wires." On pending connections, Vij said, "I review the backlog and will ensure connections are provided as soon as possible."

In response to questions about issues related to SYL water sharing with Punjab, 107 villages, and Chandigarh, Vij said that "Our biggest issue is SYL. The Hindi-speaking areas should also be handed over to us. Until then, we are building our assembly in Chandigarh. If we get the Hindi-speaking areas and the Center provides guidance, we can even create a new capital."

Regarding questions about drug abuse, Vij said that "We are taking stringent steps to eradicate drug abuse entirely." He directed the Sirsa SP to take strict action. On the issue of drugs being sold in villages, he said that "Haryana has established a Drug De-addiction Board that is actively working, along with the police. Since Sirsa borders Punjab, it faces additional challenges, but we have made Dabwali a separate district, and efforts are ongoing to curb drug trafficking."

"Leader selection happens in parties; where there are factions, elections are not easy" – Vij

When asked about Congress reviewing its defeat, Vij said that "It’s been almost two months, and they are still reviewing their defeat. The reason for their defeat is simple—wherever Rahul Gandhi campaigns, Congress defeated. They need to figure out how to address this issue." He added, "As far as electing a leader opposition is concerned, that happens in parties. Where there are no parties but factions, elections are not easy."

When asked about the public's trust in him, Vij said that "The people guide me, and I follow their path and work accordingly. Visiting Sirsa is always a pleasure; all of Haryana is wonderful, he added."

Sirsa/Chandigarh/New Delhi, November 29 – Haryana's Energy, Transport, and Labor Minister Anil Vij chaired a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee today at the Panchayat Bhawan in Sirsa. A total of 17 complaints were received during the meeting, out of which 9 were redressed on the spot, and officials were directed to take prompt action and present reports on the remaining 8 cases.

Nirmala Devi, a resident of Rania, reported that she purchased a shop in 2019, but the municipal council labeled the approved building map as "unapproved" after 12 years. Despite paying the required fee, the NDC report was not issued. The concerned official stated that the NDC has now been issued. Minister Anil Vij directed a thorough investigation into why the map was deemed unapproved after being previously approved and ordered action against the official responsible for approving it initially.

Regarding grievances of encroachment on government land, financial losses to the government, and creation of fake records, Minister Vij instructed the SDM to investigate the matter and take strict action against the culprits. Kulwant Kaur, wife of Amrik Singh, alleged that a false case was filed against her husband. The minister directed the formation of a team led by the DSP to re-investigate the matter and submit a report. Sultan, a resident of Ellenabad, complained that the unit number of his plot was transferred to another person’s name. Minister Vij ordered the formation of an SIT led by the Additional Deputy Commissioner to investigate and present findings at the next meeting.

Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Fatehpur Jotawali, raised concerns about the improper construction of a siphon. Vij directed two committee members and an Executive Engineer from the Irrigation Department to conduct an on-site inspection and report whether the siphon was constructed correctly. Sohan Lal from Bani village reported that some people entered his house, assaulted him, blocked his path, and behaved indecently. He provided video evidence. Minister Vij instructed the police to take strict action against the culprits.

Anoop Singh from Budhabhana village stated that soil was taken from his farmland to construct a temporary dam during a flood in the Ghaggar River. However, his land was neither leveled nor compensated. Minister Vij directed the department to either level the land or provide compensation. Several other grievances were also heard during the meeting. Minister Vij personally listened to each case and instructed officials to ensure timely resolution.

Kaithal/Chandigarh/New Delhi, November 29 – Haryana Transport, Energy, and Labor Minister Anil Vij today conducted a surprise inspection of the Kaithal Bus Stand. During the inspection, he directed officials and staff to ensure adequate facilities for passengers at the bus stand. Vij emphasized the provision of drinking water, cleanliness, maintenance of toilets, and quality assurance of food items sold in shops at the bus stand.

He instructed the suspension of depot manager Sunil Kumar for inadequate toilet cleanliness and driver Monu for starting a bus by pushing it with passengers’ help. He also instructed an inquiry into workshop employees who sent a faulty bus for operation.During his inspection, Vij found the Vita booth closed and directed officials to collect samples for further investigation.

On his way from Sirsa to Chandigarh, Vij stopped unscheduled at the Kaithal Bus Stand, where he noticed a bus being started by pushing it. After the bus was operational, the driver took it on its route. Vij also inspected the depot manager’s office and found staff absent from duty.

He later visited a food stall and questioned the quality of beverages and bottled water being sold. Dissatisfied with the vendor's responses, Vij called the food inspector and local police station in-charge to collect samples as per rules and regulations.

He then inspected a private bus, inquiring about its operational schedule and ticketing process from the driver and conductor.

The minister instructed the Roadways General Manager to inspect ticketing practices in private buses as well. Following this, he checked the condition of the public toilets at the bus stand and expressed dissatisfaction over their cleanliness. He directed Roadways officials to ensure 24-hour cleanliness and availability of water in the toilets.

Anil Vij emphasized his vision to make Haryana Roadways Number one in the country. He directed the Roadways GM to ensure that all necessary facilities are provided to passengers at bus stands. He remarked that just as the public does not forgive non-performance, there is no room for leniency under his administration. He also stressed the use of disinfectants like phenyl in toilets at regular intervals.

Speaking to the media persons after the inspection, Vij stated that he had instructed the suspension of two employees during the surprise inspection. Additionally, he had directed the collection of food samples as the quality was unsatisfactory.

Responding to media person's' questions, Vij mentioned that buses in poor condition werebeing repaired. He instructed officials to provide detailed reports on buses across the state. Addressing complaints about buses not stopping in Pinjupura village, he asked the GM to take necessary steps. Regarding the District Grievance Redressal Committee meeting in Kaithal, he said that it would be held on the second Friday of every month.
