MAHENDERGARH, 29.11.24-The Print “Amrit Dhara” & B. R. Chaudhary Gold Medal Presentation Ceremony-2024 was organized in the Department of Printing and Packaging Technology at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh. Shivam Saini, the winner of the Print Student of the Year competition-2024 in the field of Printing and Packaging, was honoured with the B.R. Chaudhary Gold Medal and a cash prize of twenty-five thousand rupees.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice- Chancellor and Chief Patron of the event congratulated the winner and all participants, stating that today's era is an era of innovation. He emphasized the need for collaboration between the industry and educational institutions so that students can showcase their skills and talents. The program was presided over by IPAMA president Mr. Jaiveer Singh as chief guest & WPCF President Prof. Kamal Chopra as chairman of the project. At the outset, Prof. Rajiv Kaushik, Controller of Examinations, welcomed the guests. In his welcome address he also highlighted the importance of printing and packaging in the contemporary era.
The programme was graced by the stalwarts of printing field. Mr. Avijit Mukherjee, Sr. Vice President, (DCG Tech. Ltd, turnover in upto INR 100 Cr). Dr. Ravinder Goel, MD (Chemline India Ltd., $50M in revenue) and Sh. Ramesh Panwar, MD (Colormann, Delhi), shared the mantras to become a successful entrepreneur in printing and packaging field and motivated the students to pursue their careers in the printing field.
A total of 88 students from various department participated in this event. Prof. Rajiv Kaushik, Controller of Examination, Professor Sanjiv Kumar, Dean, Academics and Prof. Phool Singh, Dean of School of Engineering and Technology congratulated the participating students for their bright future. At the occasion, Prof. Phool Singh, said that the use of latest technology is important for any industry and in today’s time, the field of printing and packaging technology is progressing with immense employment opportunities. Ms. Suman Kumari coordinated the whole event. Dr. Sandeep Boora delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the event, expressing his gratitude to the faculty members and staff of the department. He also acknowledged the key contributions of Dr. Shammi Mehra, teacher-in charge, Sh. Anil, Sh. Tarun Singh whose efforts were instrumental in the successful organization of the event.
