MAHENDERGARH, 30.12.24-The Vice Chancellor of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, Professor Tankeshwar Kumar, along with the Registrar, Professor Suneel Kumar, launched two books edited by Dr. Humira Sonah and Dr. Rupesh Deshmukh from the Department of Biotechnology. Professor Tankeshwar Kumar commended the editors for their significant contributions to the field of biotechnology, highlighting the immense value these books will offer to students and researchers in agricultural biotechnology. Biofortification in Cereals, edited by Dr. Humira Sonah, delves into the utilization of genetic and genomic data to enhance traits in cereal crops, including yield, disease resistance, and stress tolerance. This book is poised to become an essential reference for researchers in the area of crop improvement. Advances in Agri-Food Biotechnology, edited by Dr. Rupesh Deshmukh, explores recent advancements in crop improvement technologies, such as genome editing and genetic modification.
