CHANDIGARH,12.01.25-Enactus SSBUICET team of Panjab University successfully conducted a impactful two-day outreach and promotion drive in Amritsar, reinforcing their mission to empower underprivileged communities through entrepreneurial action while commemorating National Youth Day. Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor of the Enactus team and Vice President of the Corporate Sustainability Council, Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CSC WICCI), Chandigarh, highlighted that National Youth Day, inspired by Vivekananda's teachings, emphasizes the transformative role of youth in nation-building, societal progress and global harmony.

The team, comprising 15 members, visited the Lohgarh slums near the Amritsar railway station and other underprivileged areas, where they distributed cloth-based sanitary napkins, sponsored by Versatile Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana. Alongside community engagement, the team conducted awareness drives to educate residents about the importance of using sustainable and eco-friendly products. The team also promoted products from Enactus initiatives, Arpan and Uday, in local markets.

Shubham Dhiman, Director-in-Chief of the Enactus team, shared that visitors were keen to learn about the stories behind these initiatives, with Project Arpan addressing floral temple waste while empowering women artisans and Project Uday tackling both environmental sustainability and menstrual health. The community response was overwhelmingly positive, said Shubham, highlighting that these outreach initiatives truly reflect Enactus' mission of bridging the gap between marginalized communities and the mainstream economy.

The team also visited the Golden Temple to seek divine blessings, reinforcing their commitment to supporting and uplifting underprivileged communities, conveyed Prof. Kapoor.
