CHANDIGARH, 22.01.25-On the occasion of National Youth Day, the Departments of Philosophy, and Fine Arts at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised a Slogan Writing Competition to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event aimed at fostering awareness and appreciation for the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, encouraging creativity among students, and inspiring them to reflect upon his philosophy of life and action. The celebration also provided the participants an opportunity to delve into Swami Vivekananda’s core teachings. The theme of the competition- ‘Teachings of Swami Vivekananda’ encouraged the students to express their understanding of the great saint's philosophy in the form of concise slogans. The creative entries emphasised on Swamiji’s ideals of self-realisation, universal brotherhood, selfless service, and faith in oneself as a path toward a harmonious and empowered life. The evaluation of the entries was based on their originality, creativity, and relevance to the theme. The winners were awarded certificates in recognition of their creative contributions.
Officiating Principal Ms. Suman Mahajan congratulated the winners and reinforced the idea of National Youth Day as an occasion to motivate the youth to lead a purposeful life, and dedicate themselves to the cause of nation-building. She highlighted his inspirational message “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” as a guiding principle for youth.

3rd Prize: Anusha Nanda (BA3) and Manatt Puri (BA2)
