CHANDIGARH,26th January, 2025-The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at the Post Graduate Government College, Sector – 46, Chandigarh, with exuberance and patriotic fervor, today. The function began with the unfurling of the national flag by the Principal, Professor J.K. Sehgal in the presence of Vice Principal, Professor Sneh Harshinder Sharma. It was followed by the singing of the national anthem. Students shared their views on the role of youth in nation building. Patriotic songs presented by the students added to the spirit of the day.
In his address, Principal Professor Sehgal extended greetings to the students and the staff on the 76th Republic Day. He said that it is a reminder of the sacrifices made by our leaders and the countless heroes who fought for our independence. Professor Sehgal emphasised that it is the collective responsibility of all the citizens to keep the pride of the National Flag high by their positive contribution in their respective fields and take the nation ahead on the path of development. He encouraged the students to look at the sky and fly high like an eagle irrespective of any hurdles. The function was attended by the members of the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff. The occasion was also marked by the distribution of sweets.
