SHIMLA -10 March, 2025-A delegation of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) led by Managing Director Nipun Jindal met Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri here today and apprised him about the four National Awards recently won by the HRTC at the National Public Transport Excellence Awards 2023-24 ceremony held in New Delhi.

The Deputy Chief Minister lauded the efforts of HRTC employees and said that their dedication and hard work have brought recognition to the corporation at the national level. He said that the HRTC was a life line of this hilly state and the employees were its backbone serving lakhs of people round-the-clock. The present state government was committed for welfare of HRTC employees and all possible efforts were being made to strengthen the corporation and enhance public transport services in the state.

Nipun Jindal apprised the Deputy Chief Minister that HRTC secured the first prize of Rs. 50,000 in the Tyre Performance Award category. Additionally, the corporation won second prize in the digital transactions award, vehicle utilization award, and employee productivity award, each carrying a prize of Rs. 25,000. He stated that, in total, HRTC received Rs. 1,25,000 as prize money which reflects the outstanding contributions to the public transport sector.

Senior officials of the corporation were also present on the occasion.
