Every Citizen Should Take Resolution to Contribute to Pollution Control: Rao Narbir Singh
Chandigarh, November 12– Haryana Environment, Forests and WildLife Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that climate change is becoming a global issue, and its impact is also being felt in India. In the National Capital Region of Delhi, air pollution increases every year during the month of November. While the state government is making efforts to control pollution, every citizen should also take a resolution to contribute to pollution control.
In a statement issued here today, Rao Narbir Singh said that the state has a relatively small forest area. However, the state holds special significance due to the presence of the ancient Aravalli mountain range and the Shivalik mountain range. The Aravalli range is of tropical importance, while the Shivalik range, which is part of the younger Himalayan mountains, is known for its dense forests. Panchkula and Yamunanagar, located near the divine land of Himachal Pradesh, hold special significance within the Shivalik range.
The state government has launched special programmes for the conservation of natural forests. Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has also initiated efforts to promote natural resources in the region. Several forest parks have been established in this area by Patanjali. The number of visitors to Morni Hills, who come to enjoy yoga and nature, is increasing day by day. The state government has implemented special programs in Tikartal to promote adventure sports, including activities such as cycling and paragliding, he added.
Mr. Rao Narbir Singh further emphasized that the general public should take a resolution to plant a tree on their wedding anniversary, birthday, or any other special occasion, and also take responsibility for caring for these plants for the next four to five years. This will help reduce pollution and contribute to environmental protection.
