MAHENDERGARH, 21.11.24-An 8-day online Faculty Development Program (FDP) focused on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Orientation and Sensitization has been inaugurated at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. The program was inaugurated by Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the new National Education Policy will prove to be a milestone in India's development. He emphasized that NEP 2020 focuses on promoting entrepreneurship and vocational skills among students. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar discussed the changes in curriculum design and various academic programs at the university level under the NEP framework. He also highlighted the benefits of the multiple entry and exit system as part of the policy. Prof. Kumar said that it is essential not only to understand the policy but also to focus on its proper implementation.
Prof. Pramod Kumar, Director, MMTTC-CUH, welcomed the participants during the inaugural session. Prof. Surender Kumar, Deputy Director, MMTTC-CUH, introduced the program formally. The program is being coordinated by Dr. Devendra Kumar and Dr. Chandvir from the Education Department of the university. On the first day, Prof. S.K. Yadav, Former Head, Department of Teacher Education, NCERT New Delhi, the expert speaker, addressed the participants on the topic "Higher Education and Society" during the second session. The program is being registered by 95 participants from 12 states and 35 universities across the country.
