SHIMLA, 02.01.25-MLA Sanjay Awasthi today here said that the Congress government has created over 31,000 government jobs within just two years. The present state government was committed to provide employment to the youth in state. Criticizing the former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur for spreading misinformation and misleading the public with false statements Sh. Awasthi asked Sh. Thakur to explain his five-year tenure and provide a clear account of the actions of his government.

Sanjay Awasthi pointed out that under the previous BJP government only 20,000 jobs were offered in five years, while the present Congress government has exceeded this number in just two years. During the BJP's rule many job opportunities were delayed due to legal hurdles, leaving the youth of the state disappointed. In contrast, the Congress government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took immediate action to resolve these issues thus creating opportunities for employment.

The state government has also launched the Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Start-Up Yojna worth Rs. 680 crore for providing self-employment opportunities to the youth.

Sh. Awasthi accused BJP leaders of misleading the public and suggested them to focus on advocating for Himachal’s interests with their leaders in Delhi. He highlighted that claims amounting to Rs. 10,000 crore related to disaster-affected areas, have been pending with the central government for over a year and a half. Additionally, about Rs 9,000 crore under the NPS were yet to be released. He called on BJP leaders to take these matters up in Delhi and work for the betterment of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
