CHANDIGARH, 03.02.25-The Victory Against Drug Abuse (VADA) Club of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, organised a sensitisation programme on drug awareness. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The programme aimed to create awareness about the devastating effects of drug abuse, and to empower students to act as ambassadors of change in their communities. Inspector Baldev Kumar, Station House Officer of the Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF), Sector 11, Chandigarh, delivered an impactful talk during the programme. Sharing valuable insights from his personal and professional experiences, Inspector Kumar highlighted the challenges he faced during his youth, and how he remained focused on his goals despite obstacles.

Officiating Principal Ms. Suman Mahajan lauded the efforts of the VADA Club for their dedicated commitment towards raising awareness about such a critical issue. She highlighted the importance of consistent efforts to educate and inspire the youth to lead drug-free lives.
