Chandigarh, March 3, 2025-The Department of Defence and National Security Studies, Panjab University has announced Kavach – the Annual Fest, scheduled to be held on 5th and 6th March 2025 at the Student Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh. This distinguished event aims to enhance awareness and understanding of India’s military heritage and national security through a variety of insightful and engaging activities.

The inaugural function will take place on 5th March 2025 at 10:30 AM in the Law Auditorium, Panjab University. The event will be presided over by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Renu Vig, with Lieutenant General Ajay Chandpurai, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 11 Corps, Indian Army, attending as the Chief Guest.

Lt. Gen. Chandpurai will also deliver a special lecture on "The Idea of India", providing a valuable perspective on India’s strategic landscape. The event will also be graced by Arjuna Awardees and gallantry award winners, who will share their inspirational journeys.

Kavach 2025 promises a wide range of activities, including a large-scale weapon and arms display by the Indian Army, NCC drill and demonstrations, cultural performances featuring music bands, a military quiz, open mic sessions, and various fun and sports activities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore special stalls showcasing diverse food items, books, and exhibits.
