CHANDIGARH, 12.03.25-The Department of Physics at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, under the aegis of MCM Vigyan Manch, organised DST sponsored Physics Fest Eureka. Prof. K. N. Pathak, Former Vice-Chancellor and Professor Emeritus, Panjab University, Chandigarh, graced the Fest as the Chief Guest. Various competitions such as Quiz, PowerPoint Presentation, Science Talk, Innovative Physics Model, Sketch of Indian Scientist, and Sci- Fi Jagriti were organised as part of the Fest. Around 100 students enthusiastically participated in the Fest showcasing their innovative ideas and scientific knowledge. Prof. Pathak interacted with the students, appreciated their creativity and gave prizes to the winners of various categories. He also motivated the students to work towards ensuring their holistic development.
Officiating Principal Ms. Suman Mahajan lauded this initiative of the Physics Department to bring to fore the creativity of the students. She added that such activities are imperative for widening the horizons of the students as these are the platforms to explore vistas beyond one's chosen field.
