Two arrested under NDPS Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Akashdeep Singh @ Akash R/o Village Algon Kothi PS-Valtoha Tehsil-Patti, Tarantaran Pb age-23 yrs and recovered 297.40 gram heroin from his possession near Naka point back side turn of CTU workshop ISBT-43, Chandigarh on 24.03.2025. A case FIR No. 76 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station, Sector-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of # 3188, Sector-38D, Chandigarh age-35 yrs and recovered 06 crack balls and 0.42 gram heroin from her possession near Gurunanak Public School, Sector-37, Chandigarh on 24.03.2025. A case FIR No. 46 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station, Sector-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested under Arms Act

Distt. Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Rocky R/o # 79, Mohalla Hasanpur, Village Lisarh, Tehsil Shamli, PS-Shamli, Distt. Shamli (UP) age-25 yrs and Gaurav R/o # Village Arifpur Tehsil Baraut PS-Binoli Distt. Baghpat (UP) age-27 yrs from open Ground near T-Point Sector-56A/B road and recovered one country made pistol without cartridge from the possession of Gaurav and recovered one alive cartridge from the possession of Rocky. A case FIR No. 45 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station, Sector-39, Chandigarh.

Two arrested in theft case

A Case FIR No 47 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-11 Chandigarh on the complaint of Upkar Singh R/o # 63, Guru Nanak Colony Rajpura, Patiala (Pb) who alleged unknown person, who stolen complainant’s I-Phone-16 in musical event at Rally Ground Sec-25, Chandigarh. During course of investigation, accused Rehan Khan R/o 25 Foota Road Ashok Vihar, near Panchayti, Kabrishtan PS-Loni, Distt-Gaziabad UP age-26 year has been arrested in this case. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 29 U/S 305, 317(4) BNS has been registered in Police Station Ind. Area Chandigarh on the complaint of Rahul Kumar R/o Hotel Alpine Vill- Daria Chd. age-34 yrs who alleged that Parem Phathak R/o # 342, Bahlana Chd. age-23 years, who stole the complainant’s ITEL ACE-3 Shine Mobile and started running away on his activa but after going a little distance, he fell down and the public caught him and beat him on 24-03-2025. Accused has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A Case FIR No 34 U/S 406, 420,120B IPC has been registered in Police Station Sector-17 Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Faridkot (Pb) against Ravinder Singh, Brar @ Ravi & others C/o BB Council SCO No. 69 Sector-17, Chandigarh regarding cheating, fraud, in which she alleging that the alleged firm have neither provided study visa nor returned her hard earned money of Rs. 6,45, 000/-. Investigation of this case is in progress.
