Chandigarh (March 27).The Department of History and Punjabi of Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, Chandigarh organised a book release function of the punjabi translation of Srijan Ke Beej, an anthology of poems by Dr. Ramesh Pokhryal Nishank, former Education Minister, Govt. of India by Dr. Rajesh Chander. It was attended by distinguished personalities from various disciplines. The function was presided over by S. Manmohan Singh Daun an eminent Punjabi author and literati. Principal of th college Professor (Dr.) J.K. Sehgal, Mrs. Anuradha Mittal, Dean and Professor (Dr.) Sneh Harshinder Sharma, Vice Principal welcomed the chief guest. In his address, while congratulating Dr. Rajesh, Principal Professor Sehgal said that translation provides access to great literature to a wider audience, bridging the gap between languages and regions. Thus facilitating the exchange of ideas, values, and perspectives, enriching our understanding of the world.

S. Manmohan Singh Daun praised the translation, highlighting the importance of its role in promoting literary works in vernacular languages, thereby increasing their reach and impact. He noted that such works have the power to unite people from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of community and nationalism.

The event culminated with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Baljit Singh and Mr. Praveen Chaubey, expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests, organizers, and attendees.
