CHANDIGARH, 03.03.25-The Postgraduate Department of Sociology at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science and Career Counseling Cell organised a workshop titled ‘UGC Exam: Mastering Key Concepts and Strategies’. The workshop was conducted by Dr Arpita Karwa, Author and an expert in UGC NET Examination. The session focused on comprehensive understanding of UGC-NET and associated career opportunities. Dr Karwa discussed time management techniques, and highlighted the importance of practice exercises and mock tests. She emphasised understanding the pattern of the exam with basic details such as syllabus of Paper 1 and Paper 2, and elaborated on the role of Paper 1 in UGC NET in getting a good score in the exam. Further, Dr Karwa explained the four steps in the learning process which includes Understanding, Memorisation, Revise and Practice.

Officiating Principal Ms. Suman Mahajan expressed appreciation for this initiative to empower students with knowledge that will guide them in developing strategies for achieving their career goals. She advised the students to make the most of such sessions that equip them with requisite skills to ace the competitive exams.
