Ludhiana 09 March 2024-All the arrangements have been made to organize the 16th Athletic Meet of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Ludhiana. This information was shared by Dr. J P S Gill, Director Students' welfare of Vet Varsity. While informing about the event he said that Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor will inaugurate the meet on 12th of March 2024, at 9.30 A.M. at Punjab Agricultural University Track. Sh. Mohinder Singh, International Triple Jumper will be the Chief Guest of Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony.
Dr. APS Brar, organizing secretary of the Athletic Meet informed that the University students are doing excellent in sports & Co curricular activities in All India Inter-Varsity competitions. He said that in campus colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology and College of Dairy Science & Technology will participate along with College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani (Bathinda) and Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor extended his best wishes for the participants. He hoped that the students of varsity will earn laurels for institute and nation in the field of education as well as sports also.
All the arrangements to facilitate the sportspersons have been completed. Duties for first aid, record keeping, track related requirements have been earmarked to all the concerned. He said that this type of free, cheerful day provides students a break to rejuvenate. Spectacular Horse Show and Cultural Programme will be an added bonus event in the concluding function, he informed.
