CHANDIGARH, 22.12.25-In an age where education must address the mind and heart as much as the intellect, St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, organised a Two-Day Capacity Building Programme on 11th and 12th December on ‘School Health and Wellness’, facilitated by CBSE-certified Resource Person Ms. Monica Chawla and eminent trainer Ms. Urvashi Bhatia.

Through reflective activities, case studies, role-plays, and collaborative tasks, teachers engaged deeply with themes such as mental health, resilience, interpersonal relationships, nutrition, gender equality, digital responsibility, and safety. Wisdom drawn from ancient texts, real-life classroom experiences, and contemporary media lent both depth and relevance to the discussions.
Reflecting on the significance of the programme, the Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, remarked:“True education nurtures not only informed minds but also compassionate hearts. When teachers are equipped to understand the emotional and social realities of children, schools transform into spaces of trust, resilience, and holistic growth.”
The school extends its sincere gratitude to the esteemed Members of the Management for their unwavering support and visionary guidance, which continue to enable meaningful initiatives that strengthen the ethos of holistic education.
