CHANDIGARH, 25.12.25-On the occasion of the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a special programme was organized today at the Bharatiya Janata Party State Office to commemorate his birth anniversary. An exhibition showcasing the life, ideology, struggles, and unparalleled contribution of Atal Bihari Vajpayee towards nation-building was unveiled jointly by BJP State President Jitendra Pal Malhotra and former State President and Himachal Pradesh Co-Incharge Sanjay Tandon.
During the programme, senior BJP leaders Raghubir Lal Arora, Jitendra Chopra, and Deshraj Tandon were honoured for their valuable contribution to the organization and society. The event witnessed the presence of BJP state office bearers, district office bearers, mandal leaders, and representatives of various morchas and cells. All attendees paid floral tributes to the portrait of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and offered heartfelt homage.
He described Atal as a statesman who elevated politics above personal ambition and made it a powerful medium of national service. His life reflected an extraordinary harmony between thought, conduct, and policy.
Addressing the gathering, BJP State President Jitendra Pal Malhotra said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s life was a living embodiment of dedication to the nation.Malhotra further stated that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a leader respected not only by supporters but also by political opponents, owing to his democratic values, commitment to dialogue, and politics of consensus. Transforming India into a nuclear power, strengthening foreign policy, expanding road and infrastructure networks, and promoting the philosophy of Antyodaya were milestones of his visionary leadership.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is steadily advancing on the path laid down by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The birth centenary, he said, is not merely a moment of remembrance but a call to imbibe Atal’s ideals and actively contribute to nation-building. His legacy continues to inspire every BJP worker across the country.
