MAHENDERGARH,23.02.26-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh organized a one-day workshop on “Emerging Solutions for Sustainable Construction” under the activities envisaged in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with UltraTech Cement.
The technical session was delivered by Mr. Asad Farooq (Area Manager, Technical Customer Solution, UltraTech Cement presented recent developments in adhesives, advanced building materials and modern mortar systems with emphasis on efficiency, durability and sustainability in construction. A hands-on practical session was also conducted that enabled students to gain direct exposure to modern construction materials and application techniques. Further, Mr. Dinesh Kumar (Technical Manager-Territory Customer Solution) and Mr. Gajendra Singh (Mobile Lab Engineer, UltraTech Cement) interacted with students and addressed technical queries during the practical demonstration. The B.Tech students from the Department of Civil Engineering actively participated in the workshop and benefited from industry-oriented learning.

The programme was organized under the motivation of Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana. In the welcome address, Dr. Ran Bir Singh, the co-ordinator of the workshop emphasized on the students learning on modern construction practices. Prof. Bhaskar Das, HOD, Department of Civil Engineering discussed the challenges faced by the Civil Engineers in the application of sustainable practices. Other faculty members Prof. Vikas Garg (Dean, SoET) Dr. Abhishek Jindal, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Er. Deepak Rana and Er. Divya Sharma were also present in the workshop. The workshop contributed to strengthening of industry and academia collaboration and also enhanced students’ understanding towards emerging sustainable construction technologies.
