MAHENDEERGARH, 08.05.26-Department of Mathematics, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, organized its Annual Fest with great enthusiasm and grandeur. Along with recognizing the academic achievements of students, the unveiling of a special departmental T-shirt symbolizing unity and identity emerged as the highlight of the event.
The program formally commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar. Addressing the gathering, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts and enthusiasm of the students and stated that such events are not merely platforms for entertainment but also serve as important mediums for developing leadership qualities, participation, and mutual coordination among students. He encouraged the youth to pursue excellence with dedication and self-confidence.
A special attraction of the annual fest was the unveiling of the departmental T-shirt. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar launched the T-shirt in the presence of students and faculty members. Designed as a symbol of the department’s unique identity, unity, and pride, the T-shirt generated great enthusiasm among the students.
Dean, School of Basic Sciences, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta, recalled the memorable moments spent with the outgoing students and extended his best wishes for their bright future. Head of the Department, Prof. Anil Kumar Yadav, presented the department’s annual report highlighting its academic progress and research activities. He also advised students to uphold professional ethics and preserve the core values of the university.
During the program toppers of the academic session 2025–26 (Odd Semester) and winners of the departmental sports meet were felicitated by the Vice-Chancellor. The meritorious students included Preeti (1st Semester), Rahul (3rd Semester), Pooja (5th Semester), Chanky (7th Semester), Nikita Sharma (9th Semester) from the Integrated Course, and Divya Sharma (1st Semester) and Shalu (3rd Semester) from M.Sc. Mathematics.
The cultural segment of the event featured dance, music, and several entertaining performances by students, which captivated the audience. The program was successfully coordinated by Prof. Jitendra Kumar and Dr. Shahjahan. More than 250 students, research scholars, faculty members, and non-teaching staff attended the event. Faculty members including Dr. Arun Kajla, Dr. Pawan Kumar, Dr. Jagjeet, Dr. Priyanka, Dr. Pinky Narwal, and Dr. Archana Tobaria were also present on the occasion. The event concluded with a collective commitment towards strengthening departmental unity and academic excellence.
