Chandigarh, May 19 – Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita teaches us the art of living. The Gita explains how difficulties can be overcome and provides guidance on leading a successful life. He further said that the Geeta Gopal organization in Ambala is doing commendable work in various fields of social service and such organizations should exist in every city and village. The organization understands public issues and makes sincere efforts to resolve people’s difficulties.

Sh. Vij was addressing people today during the inauguration ceremony of the reconstructed Geeta Gopal Chowk on Jagadhari Road in Ambala Cantonment.On the occasion, Energy Minister Anil Vij also dedicated two ambulances provided by the Geeta Gopal Sanstha for public welfare. Earlier, upon his arrival, office bearers of the Geeta Gopal Sanstha, BJP leaders and other dignitaries welcomed him warmly with bouquets.

Sh. Anil Vij said that although many organizations in the city are working for society, he feels immense satisfaction and happiness seeing the service activities being carried out by the Geeta Gopal Sanstha. He added that the organization is actively spreading awareness about religion among the youth.

He said that our scriptures describe Sanatan Dharma, knowledge, civilization and the spirit of brotherhood. They also teach us not to indulge in anger or violence and explain how to help the needy and distressed. He said that Scriptures are an integral part of human life. He added that he has had several opportunities to visit the Geeta Gopal Sanstha and even late at night, members of the organization can be seen working selflessly in the spirit of service. The institution promotes meaningful discussions on how people should move away from negativity and embrace positivity. Criticizing others and spreading negativity is easy, but such institutions teach society how to adopt positive thinking, and Geeta Gopal Sanstha is fulfilling this responsibility remarkably well.

*“We should promote religious knowledge on a larger scale” – Vij*

On this occasion, the Energy Minister also said that just as movements have taken place in Nepal, a similar movement should be launched in India for the wider promotion of religious knowledge. He emphasized that people should spread awareness about their religion through devotional music and traditional instruments. Singing bhajans brings immense peace and happiness, he added. Sh. Vij further said that he feels especially happy visiting this institution because children here are engaged in positive and constructive activities. Every year, the organization conducts Himalayan rallies and spreads awareness regarding environmental protection. Moreover, whenever any accident or mishap such as a road accident occurs, members of the organization are among the first to reach the spot and assist people in need.

Energy Minister Anil Vij said that the organization has been working tirelessly for public welfare for many years, which is highly commendable. In continuation of these efforts, two ambulances have now been dedicated to the public, which will greatly benefit the people. He also mentioned that the organization is constructing an old-age home, but he personally believes that children should be given such values,that they care for and serve their elderly parents till their last breath.

The Cabinet Minister further said that the Geeta Gopal Sanstha remains highly sensitive towards public issues and continuously strives to resolve people’s problems. He expressed his heartfelt blessings for the organization’s growth and hoped that it would expand its activities further to serve more people. He also wished for branches of the organization to be opened in other cities. He added that if people involved in substance abuse or wrongful activities are directed towards positive work, they can certainly come out of such harmful practices and lead a meaningful life with positive thinking.

Chandigarh, May 19 – Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij attended the last rites of late Rakesh Khullar, brother of Chief Minister’s Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar, and expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved family. On this solemn occasion, Sh. Vij paid tribute to the departed soul, consoled the grieving family members, and assured them of every possible support during this difficult time.
Sh. Vij said that the loss of a loved one is one of the greatest and irreparable losses in life. A family member is connected not only through relationships, but also through emotions, memories, and countless experiences shared over a lifetime. Such a sudden departure leaves the entire family in profound grief and pain. He said that the demise of late Rakesh Khullar is deeply saddening for the family and well-wishers alike.
Praying to the Almighty, Sh. Vij said that may the departed soul attain eternal peace and find a place at the feet of the Supreme God. He also prayed that the bereaved family be granted strength, patience, and courage to endure this difficult time.
Sh. Vij further said that in this hour of grief, the entire society, the state, and all well-wishers stand firmly with the family, and everyone’s thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved members.

Chandigarh, May 19 – Haryana Transport Minister Sh. Anil Vij has taken an important decision aimed at providing better, safer and more disciplined transport services to the people of the state. Under this decision, all HVAC buses of Haryana Roadways will now halt only at authorized dhabas of the Haryana Tourism Department for refreshments.

In compliance with the directions of the Transport Minister, the Director General of Haryana State Transport has issued a letter to all General Managers across the state.

Transport Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that the main objective of this decision is to provide passengers with clean, quality and reliable facilities so that they can avail refreshment services in a safe and better environment.

Sh. Vij said that the dhabas operated by the Haryana Tourism Department function in accordance with quality, hygiene and government standards. Therefore, stopping Haryana Roadways HVAC buses only at authorized tourism dhabas within Haryana will ensure better facilities for passengers and bring greater transparency and discipline to the transport system.

He further informed that clear instructions have been issued to departmental officials that under no circumstances should HVAC buses be stopped at private dhabas within Haryana territory. Necessary directions have also been issued to all drivers and conductors in this regard.

Transport Minister Sh. Anil Vij clarified that if these instructions are violated at any level, strict action will be taken against the concerned driver or conductor as per departmental rules.

Sh. Vij said that the Haryana Government remains committed to providing modern, safe and improved transport services to passengers. He added that discipline, transparency and passenger convenience are the highest priorities of the Transport Department, and similar public welfare decisions will continue to be taken in the future.
