Chandigarh, May 21:- Acting swiftly on a reported drinking water issue in Sector 38 West, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh Chief Engineer Sh. Sanjay Arora today conducted an on-site inspection of the affected residential area to assess the situation and ensure prompt remedial measures.

The inspection was carried out in the presence of area councillor Smt. Gurbax Rawat, prominent residents of the locality, Superintending Engineer and concerned Executive Engineers and SDEs of the Municipal Corporation.

During the visit, the Chief Engineer closely reviewed the condition of the underground water supply infrastructure and directed the concerned Executive Engineer to thoroughly inspect the entire water supply line to ensure that there is no leakage at any point. He also instructed officials to examine the sewer line near House No. 5099, Sector 38 West, to rule out any blockage or contamination risk.

Emphasising public health and safety, Sh. Sanjay Arora directed that regular water sampling be conducted in the area and that a detailed report be submitted immediately after inspection and testing.

He assured the residents that the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh is fully committed to providing safe and clean drinking water to citizens and that all necessary corrective measures will be taken on priority basis.

Residents appreciated the prompt response and proactive intervention by the Municipal Corporation team.
