Chandigarh, June 2 - Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh on Tuesday extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the people of Telangana on the occasion of the State's Foundation Day and said that both Telangana and Haryana are playing a significant role in India's march towards becoming a developed nation under the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The Governor was addressing officers and members of the Telangana community during a programme organized to commemorate Telangana Foundation Day at Haryana Lok Bhavan here today. The event was attended by senior officers and members of the Telangana community residing in Haryana.
The Governor said that the formation of Telangana on June 2, 2014, marked the fulfilment of the democratic aspirations of millions of people. Since its inception, Telangana has emerged as one of India's most dynamic and progressive states, registering remarkable achievements in agriculture, information technology, infrastructure development, education, healthcare and industrial growth.
Prof. Ghosh lauded the spirit of hard work, innovation and resilience displayed by the people of Telangana, which has transformed the State into a major contributor to India's economic growth and technological advancement. He said that Telangana's development journey serves as an inspiration and reflects the strength of India's democratic and federal framework.
Highlighting the close bond between Haryana and Telangana, the Governor said that despite geographical distances, both states are united by a shared commitment to inclusive development, the welfare of farmers and youth, and the progress of every citizen.
Expressing confidence in the future of Telangana, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh said that the people of the State would continue to scale greater heights of success and make invaluable contributions to the progress, prosperity and glory of the nation.
