Chandigarh, 22 June: The ten-day Internship Programme organised by Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with Sukh Foundation, concluded with a valedictory session celebrating the participants’ journey of experiential learning, social engagement, and community service.
The valedictory session was graced by Adv. Tanu Bedi as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, she lauded the interns for their enthusiastic participation and commitment throughout the programme. She encouraged the students to remain active contributors to society and continue working towards community welfare through responsible citizenship and social engagement.
Designed to foster civic responsibility and holistic development, the internship provided students with meaningful exposure to a wide range of community-oriented activities. These included cleanliness drives, anti-drug awareness rallies, legal literacy programmes, health and wellness sessions, visits to educational and media institutions, and various outreach initiatives. Through these experiences, the interns gained valuable insights into contemporary social issues while strengthening their leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
The feedback from students reflected the values of responsibility, compassion and framework that the interns learnt by the visiting varied institutions ranging from SOREM to Police Station. The batch comprised students from four educational institution including Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women.
