Chandigarh, September 25: Haryana Energy Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that the construction of the 'Aazadi ki pehli Ladai ka Shaheed Smarak' in Ambala Cantonment has been completed. He said that the memorial would soon be inaugurated by the country’s Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi.
Sh. Vij also launched a sharp attack on the Opposition, alleging that it wants to undermine constitutional institutions and impose dictatorship in the country.
Sh. Vij was speaking to mediapersons after attending a meeting of the District Grievances Redressal Committee in Yamunanagar. He said that 16 complaints were resolved during the meeting, and directions were issued for further necessary action.
*“Rahul Gandhi Has the Blood of Dictatorship”: Vij*
Responding to a question regarding the Election Commission, Sh. Vij said that the Opposition, particularly Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, had been running a campaign for a long time to target constitutional institutions such as the Election Commission, the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation.
He said that Rahul Gandhi carried the same legacy as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who, according to him, had violated the country’s rules and imposed the Emergency. Taking a dig at Sh. Gandhi, he said, “There is no democratic blood in Rahul Gandhi; he has the blood of dictatorship.”

Sh. Vij said that the Opposition neither respected the law nor followed established rules. Referring to the protest held at Jantar Mantar recently, he alleged that the Opposition had staged the protest despite directions issued by the Supreme Court on the matter. He said that the Opposition wanted to impose dictatorship in the country and destroy constitutional institutions. “Indira Gandhi imposed dictatorship for only two or two-and-a-half years, whereas they want to bring dictatorship permanently,” he said.

Attacking the Opposition, Sh. Vij said that it created a great deal of noise, but people did not accept its claims. He alleged that, during a recent visit to Indore in Madhya Pradesh, the Opposition had indulged in what he described as inappropriate theatrics in front of young people, with the intention of misleading them. “However, the youth are not going to be influenced by them,” he said.

Sh. Vij said that in a democracy, what matters is not what an individual says, but what the electorate expresses through its vote. He said that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad had recently won the elections at Delhi University, with Gen Z and young voters voting for ABVP and defeating all NSUI candidates. He added that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad had also emerged victorious in the elections at Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Vij said that the Superintendent of Police had been directed to ensure that no traffic jams occurred anywhere during the festivals. He said that adequate arrangements should be made and sufficient personnel deployed.
Regarding the Haryana Roadways fleet, Sh. Vij said that approximately 400 buses were being added to the Haryana Roadways fleet.

Chandigarh, September 25: Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij took a stern view of public grievances during a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee held in Yamunanagar today. He directed officials to ensure the prompt resolution of people’s complaints.
During the meeting, Sh. Vij directed Labour Department officials to initiate action against SSS Solution Service Company for allegedly violating labour laws. He also ordered that a Pollution Control Department official be chargesheeted for failing to take action within the stipulated time. In another case, he directed an inquiry into an error committed by an official of the Social Welfare Department.
Sixteen complaints listed for consideration were taken up during the meeting. Of these, seven were resolved on the spot, while directions were issued to resolve the remaining nine by the next meeting.
*Action Against SSS Solution Service Company*
A group of security guards complained that SSS Solution Service Company had neither paid them the revised wages nor issued them ESI cards. After hearing, the Minister ordered action against the company and directed officials to submit a report by the next meeting.
Sunil Kumar, a resident of Bhojpur Parwalon village, complained against Indian Plywood, alleging violations relating to air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution. He sought legal action and closure of the plywood unit. Taking note of the complaint, Sh. Vij ordered that the concerned official be chargesheeted.
Ravi Kiran of Sundar Nagar complained that his pension had been stopped after the Pension Department incorrectly declared him dead, despite the fact that he was alive. The Minister directed that his pension be restored and ordered an inquiry into the error committed by the Social Welfare Department official. Usha Rani, a resident of Bhagwanpur village, complained that her electricity bill had been issued incorrectly. After the discom official stated that the bill had been corrected, Sh. Vij directed that the complaint be closed.
Ram Kumar, a resident of Udhamgarh, raised the issue of inadequate drainage of wastewater in his village. The Minister directed officials to immediately remove encroachments from public land so that the wastewater could flow properly. The complaint was kept pending until the next meeting. Barkha Rani filed a complaint against HDFC Life Insurance Company and HDB Financial Services. After the Additional Deputy Commissioner presented the inquiry report and both parties were heard, the Minister directed that the complaint be closed.
Residents of Ambli village complained about encroachment on government land. After hearing both sides, the Minister ordered that the complaint be closed. Similarly, after hearing both parties in the complaint filed by Sumit Garg of Yamunanagar, the matter was kept pending. Pravesh Kumar complained against bank officials and agents. After hearing both sides, the Minister directed that the complaint be closed.
Neeraj Gupta, a resident of Kalindi Colony, complained about the incomplete laying of a rainwater drainage pipeline from Lal Dwara Road to the old-age home, as well as encroachments by shopkeepers. After hearing both sides and taking note of the resolution of the issue, the Minister ordered that the complaint be closed.
Residents of Harbanspura, Tehsil Jagadhri, complained about an alleged encroachment on a 20-foot-wide street near Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha. They sought removal of the encroachment to enable full use of the lane. After hearing the matter, the Minister directed that the complaint remain pending until the next meeting.
Gambhir Singh, a resident of Budiya village, complained against the Municipal Corporation, the Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department and the Public Works Department. He alleged that a culvert near his fields, city drainage and sewerage arrangements, and an unfinished drain were causing damage to his crops. After hearing the parties, the Minister directed that the complaint be taken up again at the next meeting.

Gurudev Singh Walia of Jagadhri complained about the reconstruction of toilets in Market No. 1 after allegedly removing both existing toilets and incorporating a 20-foot passage. After hearing both sides, the Minister directed that the complaint be closed. Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Ghoda Pipli village, complained that the incumbent sarpanch had raised a water-drainage channel above the level of the road without permission. He alleged that this had blocked the flow of rainwater, resulting in waterlogging, leakage from the drain and the risk of disease, besides creating difficulties for villagers. After reviewing the matter, the Minister directed that the complaint be closed.
Varun Chawla, a resident of Chhappar police station area, complained of an alleged fraud of Rs. 60 lakh by Canara Bank, Vyasapur. Vij directed the Superintendent of Police, Yamunanagar, to investigate the matter and submit a report at the next meeting. The complaint was therefore kept pending.
Ramesh Kumar of Kalawad complained about removing buried pipelines laid by the Gram Panchayat. The Minister constituted a committee comprising the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and members of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee. The committee was directed to investigate the matter and submit its report by the next meeting.

Senior district officials, government and non-government members of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee, and other prominent citizens also attended the meeting.
