Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Rakesh Kumar R/o # 82, Victoria City Society Zirakpur Punjab from parking area near booth no 5, Sector 23 Chandigarh on 04.10.2026 and recovered 22.10 gram Cocaine from his possession. A Case fir no 145 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 17 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Accident

A Case FIR No 85 U/S 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sarangpur Chandigarh on the complaint of Nasem Khan R/o # Village Nada near Mundra convent School Nayagaon against driver of thar no PB65BB-8590 namely Jaijeet Singh who hit to complainant motor cycle no PB27L-3586 near NMIMS University Chandigarh on 29.09.2026. Victim sustained injuries got admitted to Hospital Sector 16 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Theft

A Case FIR No 182 U/S 305, 331(3) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurpreet Singh R/o # 878/b Sector 43 Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away one gold ring and cash Rs. 16,000/- from complainant house. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cyber Cheating

A Case FIR no 169 U/S 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Cyber Sector 17 Chandigarh on the complaint of Amarjit Singh R/o # MT Section Police line Sector 26 Chandigarh against unknown person who cheated with complainant for Rs. 1,95,380/- through link shared on Whatsapp. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR no 170 U/S 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Cyber Sector 17 Chandigarh on the complaint of Barinder Singh Bains R/o # 33, Attawa Sector 42 Chandigarh against unknown person who cheated with complainant for Rs. 5,24,700/-by downloading malicious APK file. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Two persons arrested in Snatching case

A Case FIR no 183 U/S 304(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh on the complaint of Gaurav Sharma R/o # Village Bartana, Derabassi, Punjab against two unknown person they snatched away complainant mobile phone and containing cash Rs. 5000/- in back cover from back side ISBT Sector 43 Chandigarh on 05.10.2026. During the investigation the accused namely Sandeep R/o # 22 Dadumajra Chandigarh and one juvenile were arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.
