CHANDIGARH, 12.10.26-Nutrition Society of India ( NSI) Chandigarh Chapter , under the leadership of Dr. Nancy Sahni, NSI Chandigarh Chapter Convenor and Chief Dietician PGIMER, and with help of commendable team work , won second best chapter award at 58th Annual Nutrition conference of NSI held at Coimbatore in Avinashilingam Institute of Higher Education of Women on 9th and 10th October , 2026 .

The Chapter Awards are given to those chapters who perform Nutrition activities par excellence and help spread nutrition awareness amongst health workers as well as the general population by conducting various conferences, seminars, workshops, anganwadi visits and Nutrition activities for vulnerable populations ( special children, geriatric population etc) . Out of 27 Chapters all over India , Chandigarh bagged the second price , missing the first position by just 1 mark.
