Chandigarh, October 16, 2026: The Minority Morcha of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandigarh Pradesh, organised a programme titled “Kalam Ka Paigam Desh Ke Naam” at the BJP state office, Kamalam, Sector 33, Chandigarh, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, eminent scientist and former President of India. The programme was led by Shri Nazim Khan, State President of BJP Chandigarh Minority Morcha. On the occasion, party office-bearers and workers paid floral tributes to Dr. Kalam and remembered his invaluable contribution to nation-building.

Jatinder Pal Malhotra Calls Upon People to Follow Dr. Kalam’s Ideals

BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Shri Jatinder Pal Malhotra paid tribute to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and said that his life remains an inspiring example of patriotism, simplicity, hard work and dedication. Through his knowledge, scientific outlook and visionary leadership, Dr. Kalam gave India a distinct identity in science and technology.

He said Dr. Kalam dreamt of establishing India as a developed, self-reliant and strong nation. He firmly believed that the youth were the true strength of the country.
